Process
Plastic Die Mould – 5-Step Process
Design & Planning
Our process begins with a detailed study of the customer’s product and manufacturing requirements. Our engineering team carefully analyzes the product geometry, material, parting line, draft angles, shrinkage, ejection system, cooling system, and mould structure to develop an efficient moulding solution.
Using advanced 3D CAD/CAM software, we create accurate mould designs and plan every manufacturing stage before production begins. This approach helps us achieve precision, reliability, optimized cycle time, and long mould life.
Material Selection & Procurement
Selecting the right material is essential for manufacturing a reliable and long-lasting plastic mould. Based on the application, production quantity, plastic material, and required mould life, we select suitable high-quality mould steel and other components.
Our material selection process focuses on achieving the right combination of strength, hardness, wear resistance, machinability, and dimensional stability. Quality materials help the mould withstand repeated production cycles while maintaining consistent product quality and performance.
CNC Machining & Manufacturing
Once the design and material are finalized, the mould components move into the manufacturing stage. Using advanced CNC machining, milling, drilling, turning, and precision machining processes, each component is manufactured according to the approved design and specified tolerances.
Our skilled team pays close attention to dimensional accuracy and surface finish throughout the machining process. Advanced machinery and controlled manufacturing procedures allow us to produce complex mould components with high precision and repeatability.
Assembly & Testing
After machining, individual mould components are carefully inspected and assembled to form the complete mould. The assembly process includes fitting mould plates, cores, cavities, ejector systems, guide components, cooling channels, and other necessary elements.
The assembled mould is thoroughly checked to ensure smooth movement, proper alignment, accurate fitting, and effective cooling and ejection. Functional testing at this stage helps identify and correct any issues before the mould proceeds to the final trial.
Trial, Quality Check & Delivery
A mould trial is conducted to evaluate the performance of the completed mould and to produce sample plastic components. The samples are carefully checked for dimensions, surface finish, appearance, weight, defects, and overall conformity with the customer’s requirements.
After successful trial and final inspection, necessary finishing and adjustments are completed. The mould then undergoes a final quality check before being carefully prepared for delivery, ensuring that the customer receives a reliable, production-ready mould.
